SILENCE SPLIT - A solo exhibition from British sculptor Samuel Collins
A solo show from British sculptor Samuel Collins hosted by Max Radford Gallery at 77 Broadway Market.
The show features new stone sculptures produced in Samuels' studio on the edge of the Dungeness Nature Reserve in Kent. Working primarily with reclaimed stone, Samuel treats it as both material and metaphor. The show marks the opening of Isabella Hewitt's new showroom, designed by Max Radford.
The decision to open the space with Collins’s work reflects the shared sculptural principles between the two practices. Hewitt's new collection, Resonance, adopts a similar approach to form — bringing together curved and angular elements, and treating metal with the same clarity and restraint that Collins applies to stone. This alignment informed the choice to photograph Resonance in Collins’s studio, placing the jewellery within a material environment that shares the same ethos.
“The intention was always for the showroom to function as both a space for jewellery and a gallery,” Hewitt explains.
“Opening with Samuel’s work felt appropriate — our practices share a structural sensibility, and his approach to form speaks to how I developed this new collection.”
The pieces will remain on view in the showroom until 24th December at 77 Broadway Market, by appointment.
